Aiman Rizal

Aiman Rizal is a PhD research candidate at the School of Media and Communication. She enjoys controversial issues and wicked problems, her research area is on sexual health education, with a focus in Malaysia.

Complimenting her marketing communications background from the University of Melbourne, she is particularly interested in exploring the use of social media and influencers as pedagogy with education pedagogy, in addition to understanding the landscape in Malaysia (read, from Foucault’s lenses, which she thought was already her biggest nightmare during her time as a communication and media studies student at Monash University).

She has always been involved in social causes and she strongly believes in advocacy and social marketing works, especially in increasing awareness and knowledge on sexual health among teenagers and young adults with the use of marketing communication.
