Amanda Lawrence

Amanda Lawrence is a researcher and project manager specialising in digital collections, open knowledge infrastructure and research communication and impact for public policy and social innovation. She is currently Research Fellow, Open Knowledge Systems in the school of Media and communication at RMIT University and is an Associate at Outside Opinion. Amanda recently completed a PhD in Media and Communications at RMIT University on the topic of research publishing and public policy. Previous roles include Director of Analysis & Policy Observatory (apo.org.au) from 2006 until 2018 and Manager of the Literature Program at the Asialink Centre, University of Melbourne. Amanda has successfully applied for and delivered multiple grants from the Australian Research Council, the Australia Council and other funding organisations. She has published a number of articles and papers and is an experienced presenter. Amanda has a Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Management from RMIT University and an Arts Degree with Honours from the University of Melbourne. She currently serves as Secretary on the Wikimedia Australia Committee, on the Board of CERES environment park.
