Haryo Pambuko Jiwandono

Haryo is a PhD student at RMIT University’s Digital Ethnography Research Centre (DERC) under the supervision of Distinguished Professor Larissa Hjörth and Associate Professor Jaz Hee-Jeong Choi. He is awarded with RMIT Research Stipend Scholarship (RRSS). His PhD research is about mobile e-sports in Indonesia from digital ethnography paradigm.

Haryo has nine years of experience as a professional academic at Gadjah Mada University and Brawijaya University; both are reputable public universities in his home country of Indonesia. His main research focus is digital game studies specifically on digital game and society, and textual analysis of digital games from constructivist and critic paradigms. As an academic, Haryo has published journal articles in English and Indonesian. One of his articles is indexed on Scopus.

The induction of Haryo into the Digital Ethnography Research Centre will be mutually beneficial for both parties, and it is a beginning of a good partnership.
