Kath Albury

Kath Albury is Professor of Media and Communication at Swinburne University of Technology. Her current research projects focus on young people’s practices of digital self-representation, and the role of user-generated media (including social networking platforms) in young people’s formal and informal sexual learning.

She currently leads an ARC Linkage partnership with ACON Health and Family Planning NSW, investigating young people’s perceptions of safety and risk in digital dating and hook-up app cultures. Kath’s latest book Digital Sexual Citizens will be published by Routledge in 2020.
