Jenny Robinson

Dr Jenny Robinson is a senior lecturer in media and communication at RMIT. With educational training in media psychology, mass communication theory and sociology, her research interests are audience engagement in a variety of contexts, risk communication, and the impact of technology on strategic communication practice, which sits alongside a keen interest in young people and their everyday media experiences.

Jenny was research project manager of the ‘Technologies for Supportive Communities’ major project with the Young and Well Cooperative Research Centre (CRC), and has held administrative roles as Program Manager of several programs at RMIT, including the Master of Communication and newly created GradCert in Digital Communication Strategy.

Her work is published in the Journal of Public Relations Research, Journal of Advertising, PRism, BMC Public Health, Biological Conservation, Journal of Marketing Communication and the Journal of Interactive Marketing and she has co-authored over 30 industry research reports. Prior to joining RMIT she was a senior research fellow with MediaScience (Audience Research Labs), assistant professor in public relations (Uni Florida, USA), and a curriculum developer in science education and TV (Integrated Science program) for over 10 years.
